What sweet treats are in store for Easter?

No sooner has Father Christmas hung up his hat for the spring than the Easter Bunny is knocking on the door and, as usual, the Nike Group of Companies has a feast of activities planned to take the stress out of school holidays or simply provide a relaxing break.

At John Nike Leisuresport, Bracknell, children can join the instructors on the slopes for ski activity camps. This can be either for a day or full week and enables children to learn to ski while having fun with their friends.

If skates are preferred to skis then there are disco sessions at the ice rink which will be attended by the Easter Bunny and Chick throughout the school holidays. In addition, Polo, the new mascot, will be at all public skating sessions giving out chocolate eggs.

At Bristol Ice Rink, additional ‘Pop on the Rocks’ teatime sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4.30pm to 6pm. This is a skating disco session for kids with tunes spun by the resident DJ. The centre will be open throughout the holidays when the café will also be providing special meal deals.

If you are looking for something to get the children out from under your feet in the Plymouth area, the John Nike Leisuresport centre there is hosting ‘Radical Kids’ days which involve five hours of skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing and lunch.

‘Radical Kids’ days also play a part in the Easter entertainment at John Nike Leisuresport, Chatham, where children between the ages of 10 and 16 are invited the two-week school holidays and booking is essential as they have proved very popular in previous years.

The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance at John Nike Leisuresport, Llandudno, and Swadlincote. At Llandudno, he will ski down the slope and give out chocolate to school children waiting at the bottom and all the family has the opportunity to try out skiing and snowboarding during taster sessions.

At Swadlincote, the Bunny will be giving out chocolate eggs over the holiday and is available for private functions so, if you have an Easter party planned, ask for him when you make a booking at the centre. Also, children can attend fun activity sessions which run weekdays and experience skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing and snowbobbing. And, whatever your age, if you are planning to visit the slopes abroad this spring, then why not pop down to any of the John Nike Leisuresport ski slopes where expert teaching will enable you to reach a high standard before you hit the white stuff.

If it is a more relaxing experience that you are looking for this Easter, then the Coppid Beech Hotel offers a short break including overnight accommodation for two adults and two children, with tickets for local theme park LegoLand, for just £280. There are also Easter themed buffets available in the conference rooms with entertainment laid on for children.

Braeside builds on success

Nike Construction is well into the building programme for the 18 individualistic detached homes at Braeside, John Nike Way in Bracknell. This programme follows the successful sale of 30 two-bedroomed apartments that front the site.

With the completion of the detached houses, ‘Braeside’ will be a recognisable Europeanstylised development. The architects, Nike Design, have submitted the cleanlined apartments on the development for entry into the National Homebuilder Design Awards. We wish them well.
