A golden moment

The Nike Group of Companies
was a major sponsor of the high-profile event held to mark The Queen's
Golden Jubilee. Berkshire's Golden Youth, involving around 2,500 children,
was attended by HM The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
The celebration, which recognised the achievements of the Royal county's
youngsters in the fields of sports, culture and the arts, was held
at Bisham and Marlow on 10 May.
The Queen and Prince Philip visited the events as part of their Golden
Jubilee tour and met major icons of the sporting world, including
England football team manager, Sven Goran Eriksson, and rowing Olympian,
Sir Steve Redgrave.
As well as having the opportunity to show off their skills to Her
Majesty, the children were given the chance to see and try other
sports and leisure facilities that are on offer in the area, through
demonstrations and stands set up by local companies.

Get in the swing |
It's tee-time for the Nike
Group of Companies now it has been given planning permission to build
a golf driving range to add to its portfolio of sporting attractions
in Bracknell.
The golf range will be situated on the south side of the John Nike
Leisuresport Bracknell complex at Amen Corner. Nike Construction will
construct the facility with expected completion in the summer. When
it is finished, the range will provide 17 bays offering golfing buffs
an ideal environment in which to brush up on their swing.
